Morton-Lemley Hall Dorm Reviews at Berry

MoLem is on the louder side when it comes to dorms, often quiet hours are ignored which is frustrating when you're studying. The common areas and kitchen are nice. The location is very practical for first year students running around campus for foundations classes.

Overall, it was a good dorm for a Freshman. The room was a decent size, I had access to what I needed, and it was a quick walk to my classes. The "kitchen" area was the largest part lacking as it was quite dated.

As far as traditional style living goes at Berry College, Morton-Lemley is one of the better options. The building is more newly renovated and in a more convenient location than the residence halls at Ford, and although Dana Hall is newer and has nicer amenities, MoLem has slightly larger rooms as well as closets. The bathrooms at MoLem have good lighting and a lot of counter space but there's usually a couple facilities (sinks, showers, stall doors, toilet paper holders, etc) that don't work well. The kitchen is sufficient for the amount of cooking you can do living in a dorm. There are plenty of washers and dryers but if they break it can take a while to get them fixed. It can get quite loud on the weekends and the RAs don't really do anything to enforce quiet hours. With that being said, all of the traditional style dorms have their flaws, so the right residence hall really just depends on what you are looking for.

The halls are quiet during the day but noisy at night. Additionally, the hall is in a great location, but offers little in the way of cleanliness, comfort, or community. The dorms are an okay size, but the building itself is falling apart.
