Sleeper Hall Dorm Reviews at BU

It's fine. West Campus has it's ups and downs, but Sleeper isn't bad at all. Being in the same building as the dining hall is very convenient. The bathrooms can be gross but it's largely dependent on each floor.

Great for meeting people during first year of university. Cleaner than other dorms on campus but further. Can be noisy at times, but usually quiet on weekends. Very convenient as it it the center of west campus, also have dining hall underneath.

I loved my experience at Sleeper Hall because I was able to meet all my friends that have grown to be like family. It's in West campus - west is best! Very social and fun first year dorm. It is connected to the dining hall so you don't have to worry about walking in the rain.

Due to COVID-19 protocols, the common areas and bathrooms were maintained well, being cleaned almost everyday. However, noise complaints were common even during quiet hours due to thin walls. There were a lot of bugs in the beginning of the semester, but they were mostly gone later on.

My experience at Sleeper Hall has been overall pretty great. The faculty is friendly and welcoming. It depends with each floor, but my floor is respectful of others and always willing to help other members of the floor. This side of campus, West, is much more social and athletic. This is the hall that houses more of the students on University teams. This hall is also attached to the dining hall, so every day it is easy to get access to your meals. The hall can be quiet noisy due to external factors, being in the city there is always a beeping or honking that may wake me. The hall is very hot in the summer time, a fan is definitely needed. However, in the winter the dorms are a comfortable temperature. The elevators are a little slow, but not yet have I ever been late becuase of the elevators. There is no water fountain on the floors, so I have to go to the lobby level to fill up my water bottles. There is also a trash room on particular floors. All of the bathrooms are communal on this hall. I have noticed that everyone here is respectful of others' personal belongings. I could leave my shower caddy in the bathroom and it would stay there until I took it out. Speaking of the security guards, they are incredible. They want the best for the students and they are always willing to hear how your day was. In the current times, the dorms and dining hall rules are very strict. There is no one allowed in the dorm expect residents, and there is no eating with more than one other person at your table. This can get somewhat frustrating, but understandable with the pandemic. Overall, Sleeper Hall is a great student residence.

There's security 24/7 and if you seem too drunk they will call the campus police. It was a pretty average dorm room but it was cleaned everyday so it wasn't that bad. For freshman dorms the RA's seem to be stricter than others.

I have enjoyed my residency in Sleeper Hall. It is connected to the dining hall and is close to the mail room. It definitely has more of the standard, college dormitory atmosphere and it is about a twenty minute walk for central campus. Overall, the hall is safe, clean, and overall satisfactory for dorm life.

I love living at sleeper. It’s pretty clean most of the time, but overall great dorm. The staff is super friendly! The hallways aren’t super crowded but that might be covid. The laundry room is pretty clean, despite there being some bugs sometimes....but you are in Boston, what do you expect??

Sleeper Hall is in West campus and is great for Freshman. It has Nickerson field right under and a dining hall on the first floor. The rooms are relatively small but nice and communal bathrooms on each floor.
