Fremont Hall Dorm Reviews at Cal Poly

Fremont is very social and in a good location, rooms are tiny but that's okay. It does get a little warm at times, but you don't spend too much time in the dorm so it's okay. They're also right next to the dining hall.

Fremont hall gave me the full freshman year dorm experience. Close quarters with your peers, communal bathrooms, RAs, Hvaing fun living with others it reminded me a lot of overnight camp in the summer. However, the building was old and cal poly knows that all the red bricks have black mold in the walls. Fremont hall is the newest Red Brick that Cal Poly has due to the land slide that took it out in 2022. They only redid the carpet and bathroom on the 3rd floor.

Fremont was the perfect mix of quiet and fun. The CAED college was in Fremont and during the week, all the students would be studying and quietly working, but during the weekend, there was always something fun happening in the common areas or the backyard. I loved Fremont. The study room and kitchen had just been redone and were so nice. We were able to actually cook our own food in the kitchen, watch movies on the common room couch, and study efficiently in the study room. The rooms are nice but small and the bathrooms are nice and clean, but still sharing a bathroom with that many people isn't great.

I met some of the most significant people of my freshman year in the dorm, and found the people in my major that I’d be taking classes with for the next four years. I could not imagine having started my college experience in any other dormitory.
