tsɨtkawayu Dorm Reviews at Cal Poly

I had a great time in these dorms. I ended up moving into them after my first quarter at Cal Poly, and it was a huge switch. I came from Whitney (North Mountain). The janitorial staff here was absolutely amazing. They were on time, nice, super funny, and really fun to talk to. It was right by the food center on campus, and wasn't too far away from classes. I'd totally recommend staying here.

My experience at tsitkawayu was definitely positive. The bathrooms had large stalls and were clean, and my dorm room was large and also very new and clean. The common areas were nice and great for spending time with friends. The building wasn't too noisy -- occasionally you could hear other students from inside my room, but generally the sound was muffled and it was only noticeable if they were especially loud. Overall, it definitely surpassed my dorm expectations.

I thought that the experience was great overall. It was a very clean environment and common spaces allowed quiet studying or meeting new people if one wishes. I used the vending machines quite often, but I would suggest there be more cooking devices such as ovens or sinks on every floor rather than just microwaves. Other than that, it was great!
