Whitney Hall Dorm Reviews at Cal Poly

This dorm building, while pretty standard and tight, provided the best outdoor space that made my overall experience living there very positive. Outside of our building was a big lawn that all tenants had access to which was the perfect space to meet other freshman, enjoy the beautiful California weather, do homework, play games and more. During the Spring I spent here, me and the other residents put up a volleyball net on the lawn and would spend hours outside playing. This lawn was the perfect way to keep the students active, healthy and encouraged us to make long-lasting friends. Because of this simple addition to our hall, I had the best experience.

I love my little dorm here at Whitney. My bathroom mates are very kind and check up on me often. I have a beautiful view in the mornings. The custodians are super friendly and mindful of my privacy/personal space. My only con is that it is a little isolating here with no common rooms and the fact that I am kind of far from the "social" part of campus.
