Robinson Hall Dorm Reviews at CMU

The staff were super friendly and the community was great. It really felt like home, it felt like a family. Now it is on the North side of campus so it can be far from the SAC, the football field, and the Humanities or Bio buildings but it’s worth the walk. The dining hall connected to Robinson is Great! Loved their breakfast options.

Robison Hall is very quiet, and very fun if you have made friends in the hall. The staff is tight on guest and doesn't allow them to stay after 12am. The bathroom are only cleaned once a day and I think it should be at least cleaned twice for the safety of the girls.

My freshman experience in a dorm at Robinson was not that bad. I did have some bad experiences with the bathroom. The showers were cold and I didn't like the showers, the staff and common area was pretty good and I didn't like when people pulled the fire alarms all the time for no reason.

I didn't have much problems except for moving in and thermostat sometimes. Move-ins were hard because Robinson has small stairs and no elevator. At that time the AC wasn't helping and the heater doesn't work at times.

My experience with Robinson hall is wonderful. I feel as I get the same privileges as the new dorms with the exception of my own bathroom. The resident assistances are wonderful, the walks from my dorm to class is decent, and the view from the windows are excellent.

Good location. On first floor and right near the laundry room. The floor size is perfect for sharing a bathroom. Bathrooms are really nice! Each shower is it’s on little room and so is each toilet and sink.

Robinson Hall is a all girl dorm with community style bathroom . The bathrooms get cleaned everyday by janitors . The RAs are very respectful and helpful . They are always there when you need it.The dorm has amazing AC , it's never hot.

it is very loud, even at night. the wifi is terrible. anyone can enter the building, no key required. the dorms are designed to house 4 students per room, but there's only 2 students in each due to covid.

Because of COVID-19 things are a little different this year. We're required to wear masks in all public spaces and I feel safe knowing the staff is here to enforce those rules. The space is well kept and the dining hall is really nice. The workers there are always helpful and friendly, and the food is good! Normally as a freshman I don't think I would be in this hall, but this year they're spreading everyone out a little more as a precaution. Overall the hall is really great and I'm happy to be part of the Robinson community!
