Trout Hall Dorm Reviews at CMU

For the most part, I enjoyed my time at Trout. I made some friends there and I have some amazing memories. The staff is all amazing at what they do and they all take their jobs very seriously. My biggest complaints would have to be about the noise level. Don't plan on getting any sleep because chances are your neighbors will keep you up all night. If they don't the train that honks its horn all hours of the night surely will. Another big complaint is the heat. Trout does not have any a/c even though your vents have a setting for it. For the price, you would think that you would have that luxury, but apparently not.

Although my dorm was very outdated I would recommend this dorm to anyone who wants a quieter experience at CMU, or to people who want a suite and not four people per room. I think the one big downside to living at trout hall is that there is a train right behind the building which can be very loud.
