Hillside: Leonard was a substance-free dorm this year, which lent to a quieter atmosphere, but the location near the senior apartments and the fact that it is interconnected with the other Hillside apartments meant that parties frequently happened around the dorm and people from other residence halls would walk through inebriated and holding substances. There are two common spaces on each floor, although they are not all created equally, as well as a common space on the first floor and a study room. The study room is by far my favorite space, and it lends itself well to hanging out as well. The residence hall is about as clean as you could expect a college dorm to be, and the maintenance staff is wonderful. The location can be tricky, as it is decently separated from the rest of campus and located on a hill. You'll definitely build some leg muscles, although I worry about the incline once it starts snowing and black ice appears. Some people say they like the distance from the rest of campus, as it contributes to a separation of "work" and "home". Located right next to a parking lot and you can drive right up to your dorm.
