Alpine Hall Dorm Reviews at CSU

There is no staff around, but safety is good because you need your key/badge to get through any doors once passed any front desk in the building. Although I was in a 4-suite dorm and had our own bathroom and living room, I got to enjoy the common kitchen and TV room with my friends through the year which was not always clean but that is more on the students there then the staff who do their best. College kids are gross and will ruin things though so do not put pumpkins or decorations you love outside in the halls...

I lived in a standard double in Alpine Hall and I think it was a pretty average experience! Because it is a newer build, the actual quality of the building is a bit shakey as in, every time somebody walked past your door, the whole room shook. There is a lot of natural light in the building which can be really nice. There is only one common space for every two floors, and if you don't live on the floor that the main space is in, it makes it feel like you don't actually have a common space. The bathroom showers were pretty bad. If you want to have a hot shower, the best you get is warm and the water pressure was so bad I often ended up dry on the half of my body that wasn't facing the stream of water. It's great being next to the gym and durell but the walk to classes is pretty long and can be rough in bad weather. I enjoyed my time living in Alpine but I'm happier in a different dorm my second year.

So far my experience at Alpine Hall has been an interesting one. Right off the bat, it was clear to see that they did not clean rooms between people moving in, so we had to wipe down everything top to bottom- which was a huge no especially during the pandemic. They also do not require students to move their things during breaks so that people can come in and clean rooms- they have people come in throughout the semester and clean bathrooms, but not wipe things down if there are people moving out, and new ones moving in. Despite the set back of losing a few wipes and an hour of cleaning, Alpine Hall has proven to be a good hall with many friendly people and I have enjoyed it so far.

I had a very pleasant experience staying in Alpine. My floor was very quiet and everyone on staff in the halls were always friendly and ready to help. All amenities were open to use 24 hours including a selection of washers and dryers which were free of charge. Alpine was always kept in a condition of cleanliness and I never felt unsafe while living there.

Alpine is super nice and I recommend it to freshmen that are coming next semester or for the fall. It’s one of the new buildings at CSU. Alpine takes Covid seriously and does everything to make Alpine clean and safe
