Tubman Laws Dorm Reviews at Del State

Out of all the dorm halls Tubman Laws is probably the best. There's no shared bathrooms and because the hall is brand new (2018) Its high maintenance and up to date. There's a dunking donuts and other eating centers just in Tubman laws. Depending on your major and your department your class shouldn't be so far from this dorm and the studying center is very nice

It is an extremely nice dorm building. I am so lucky to be in that building. Tubman Laws is practically a hotel with common area TVs to play video games, pinball machines and arcade games, lounge areas, vending machines on each floor, and beautiful scenery from their window design when you walk around the dorm floors. It is the best dorm I’ve ever been in.

Living in Tubman is an adventure in its own right. It's a world of shared spaces, late-night study sessions, and an unforgettable sense of camaraderie. My first day, I remember stepping into the room, barely larger than a typical bedroom, which would be my new home and sanctuary for the next academic year. The room was sparse, just a couple of beds, desks, and our personal belongings, marking our territories. My roommate, a stranger then, came from a different state with different habits and a different sleep schedule. Over time, we found a comfortable rhythm of cohabitation, learning to navigate each other's routines and quirks. We'd study together, sometimes till the early morning hours, sustained by pizza and energy drinks. The campus' quiet late at night, punctuated by the occasional laughter from a neighboring room or the soft hum of a late-night studier, created a unique atmosphere that was comforting in its own way. In that little dorm room, we celebrated small victories, supported each other through stressful times, and forged friendships that would last a lifetime. It was more than just a place to sleep; it was a microcosm of the college experience itself.

Very good looking dorms and very spacious Tubman laws gives a very homey feeling when you are in the dorms and modern feel the rooms are calming and spectacular. I would recommend any upcoming Freshman or new student arriving at Delaware State University to stay in Tubman Laws.

The dorm was in the back of campus and a super far walk from my classes. I did like the there were less people sharing a bathroom. Sometimes the A/C did not work. Staff were always nice and helpful. Needs upgrades o of the older dorms on campus.

Everything was great, the dorms are beautiful and are always clean. Its in a good location and close to everything else on the campus. Everyone is friendly and it was just a great experience for my first year.

It not a bad dorm, I think its better than the other buildings. The rooms are really nicely sized, spacious if you ask me. I like it. The other buildings struggle with cleanliness and bugs which I am glad I do not have to deal with.

I love the cleanliness of this building along with the maintenance staff. My biggest issue though is how thin the walls are. I can hear my neighbor all day and it’s hard because I am a person that enjoys the quiet.

Once in a lifetime, even though it was filthy when I first moved in in January and I had to clean a few things myself. The staff here are extremely helpful to me as they helped me change my room from the previous dirty one and helping me move in.

Tubman is a good environment to relax but also study in. Sometimes other residents will get a little loud a night but it’s never for a long period of time. I enjoyed living there, because it helped me really create a special environment for myself, while living with other people.

Tubman Laws has great hospitality for the students on campus. As soon as you walk in your get that “welcoming” feeling from staff and RA’s. The environment is bright and clean in every spot of the building. There are quiet places for you to study alone , or even in groups. Then there’s also entertainment areas that could bring students together near it. One slight downside would have to be the cost. The cost to live in Tubman Laws is high on the price. Managing your money is very necessary and important when it comes to living on campus. Another downside would be moving out during holidays or breaks. No student can stay in Tubman dorms during holiday breaks unless you have an emergency reason. Also, following the rules and guidelines when living on campus is important , especially when it comes to living in Tubman Laws. Rules and guidelines are specific, strict, fair, and straightforward in this dorm. I personally have had a good time living in Tubman and I am looking forward to coming back next semester.

This dorm is everything a freshman can hope for when they first go off to college. The dorm rooms are just right and clean. The atmosphere of the dorm reminds you of a hotel and the staff and RA’s are great

My experience at Tubman Laws was quite enjoyable. Being that it is a relatively newer residence hall, I enjoyed how clean and nice-looking the place was. It was also in the middle of campus so everywhere on campus was easily accessible.

My experience in Tubman Laws was adequate. I was very grateful to be in an environment with students similar to myself. My social life increased when I was a resident but, I believe some things needed to be changed. The furniture needs to be remodeled and the maintenance needs to be increased. I would suggest having trash bins being more available then the dorm would be more appealing to others.

It was very hot. It was an old building. There were three floors and no steps. Luckily, it was knocked down and a more modern building was built. The building houses hundreds of Delaware State University students.

Staying in Tubman made me feel life I was home. The building is brand new so it was a nice feeling to move in and be comfortable. There are lots of space given to the students which is good for privacy.
