Escalante Hall Dorm Reviews at Fort Lewis

Escalante hall was not a boring dormitory to say the least. The social life in this dorm was very similar to an average angsty teen movie set in college, at least for myself. There were always people who “knew a spot” so it was never boring. The lounge area in the dorm also was a scene to meet new people who lived in that dorm as well as other ppl who didn’t but just had friends in that dorm. Escalante hall lived up to its hearsay.

It is a very comfortable living space if you’re comfortable with your roommate, it is a great room. Otherwise, it will feel a little crowded or tight spaced but there are many options for private space in the lounge

I would say that it was a very nice experience even though there were still some concerns over safety because of the Coronavirus. It was overall a great thing to experience my first year there because it was very comfortable and friendly. I am going to enjoy it even more this coming semester because a majority of my friends are moving there and now we will be able to do more things together.

Many people may want to avoid Escalante but I really enjoy this dorm not because of what's inside but outside. Right outside there is the Rim that looks out onto Durango and with a few steps I can marvel at the sight any time of the day. Also I like how quiet and calm it is, and how courteous every is here.
