Acacia Hall Dorm Reviews at GCU

There was always something nasty going on at this building whether it was food crumbs all over the carpet in the common rooms or sticky substances on the elevator walls. Lous noise at all hours of the night and vents have nastyy filters!

It was a relatively nice experience. They kept the dorms clean at all times. I would always find a person cleaning the ground floor and the bathrooms that were available on each floor by the common areas. The common areas were also kept clean. While there were some people that were loud, for the most part everyone kept their volume down.

It was a good place for a college freshman. All of the RA's and both of the RD's are kind, helpful, and able to deal with conflict. It is generally clean, however watch out for the elevators. They regularly break down, and sometimes they do not open on the first floor.

I have bad roommates that break the rules all the time but the RAs do nothing to stop their behavior. I like the RAs as people but they're just not very good at their jobs. I like the room overall I only had a bad experience because of my roommate situation.

I love Acacia, great location for parking garage but kinda far from center of campus, quiet except for neighborhood noise. It is very clean and spacious for everyone. I love the interior and the beds are comfy.

Acacia has been pretty nice and spacious, I live with two other roommates so it can be kinda hard but with the space and the furniture provided we know how to make it work. It is also near most food, activity centers and classroom buildings which I enjoy.

Acacia Hall is great, the location is perfect. It is not in the center of the campus however it is still close enough to walk. Being on a higher floor makes me feel safe along with the campus security that is provided.

Overall it is a great dorm, but I have had a variety of maintenance problems. The problems do get fixed but there has been a time where they have said there wasn't a problem when there was or within a few days the problems has come back. It does get loud but not so loud that a person couldn't sleep more along the lines of "I wonder what that was?" type of noise. The building is close to the parking garage but is far from most things on campus.

My experience at Acacia Hall was a rollercoaster. It was sad, stressful, but most importantly it was amazing and it helped me create great memories with my roommates. It was an experience that helped me open up.

The dorms look amazing and the security is so good its sometimes frustrating. The make sure they are extremely clean when you move in and have plenty of space. The fines do suck. If you lose a key or fob expect to pay way to much money for a new one but other than they they are great. I had a bad RD but the dorms were still nice.

Acacia has been a fun place to live, but definitely could use some improvement with the cleanliness. Especially in elevators and dorm hallways leading to elevators. Other than that it has been a fun place to live as a freshman.

I like Acacia Hall, but it can be noisy at times due to 3 of us in a room and 3 suite mates. It is a good choice as a freshman, but I may choose apartment housing my sophomore year. I am happy with the location of the dorm on campus.

It is pretty much the farthest building on campus from the college of business, fine arts, and theology classes. It's at least a 20-30 min walk. The dorms are nice and the layouts are pretty open and spacious. No gym or shop in the buildings, but there are in the buildings close by.

My experience as a former resident of Acacia hall quite decent. I loved the dorm room everything was clean, the staff was nice and always around the building. However there were a few appliance problems that we did meet as residents like for example the washer and dryers would stop working quite often, and the elevators during storms would often have electrical problems. My overall experience I would say was very decent.

I really like this dorm but it does have its ups and downs. One of them is the cleanliness because a lot of the times you will find broken glass on the floor or food stains on the carpet. I still love it though with its amazing staff.

The bathrooms and facilities are always clean and available. The staff is always kind and friendly. The only issue is that the stairwells are often dirty. The floors have dried or crusted food on them and there is often trash littering the stairwells.

I have loved my experience in Acacia so far. I love how sweet and friendly the residents assistants are very helpful and are very nice. I feel like this dorm is really nice and I would 100% try and live here again.

Acacia Hall is very nice. During the holidays they decorate the common areas for each holiday and it’s so festive. If something is broken, it’s fixed within a few hours. Also they clean the halls and study rooms every weekend so it’s always clean.

The experience has been really good, I feel really safe while on campus and at my hall. It is relatively quiet for the most part, but it honestly can get quite noisy at night-time, especially because the hall is located in the Grove (where a bunch of freshmen hang out and events occur). It is a great place for freshman, but I would not recommend for upperclassmen.

It is very very loud at night and it is quite far from any of the classes. Acacia is a very nice building and is kept pretty clean. The dorm rooms are really nice and have a lot of benefits. A communal kitchen or less restrictions on cooking inside the rooms would be even better. Overall it’s a great started building for a freshman on campus.
