Chaparral Hall Dorm Reviews at GCU

It was quiet compared to other dorm halls. It was always clean. Layout of dorm rooms was nice. Wish there was an community area with tv or computers in the building. The staff were nice especially my RAs. They really helped with the transition into college.

For Chap being my first dorm room, I would say it was the best first experience I could have had. I enjoyed every part of it. My roommates made the experience so much better. The RAs were always available and looking out for us. Maintenance was always there if we needed anything. Overall it was a great place and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Chaparral Hall is a good dorm and it really is one of the best freshman dorms on campus. Not nearly as crazy as the grove and it is much closer to everything on Campus. The dorm has a great common space and the staff is overall helpful and friendly.

I lived in Chaparral Hall during my Freshman year of college. Grand Canyon University is known for their luxury dorm rooms, and they lived up to their reputation and more. I would highly recommend living here.

I believe this is a great hall that is located fairly close to both classroom facilities and food on campus. As an incoming freshman at GCU, it has been nice to have the option to know that at the end of the night it will be quiet enough to get good sleep and knowing that is it close to everything on campus. Not only that but the fitness center and pool are located below the hall which saves you a lot of walking. Finally, one thing I like to tell people when I recommend this hall is that living in Chap gives you the option to go hang out at the grove field until the time you please and then have the nice option to going home to a quiet place for sleep. Meaning after living in Chaparral hall as a freshman I am happy I didn't choose to dorm at the Grove where it's constantly noisy.

Great freshman dorm! It is in proximity of almost everything and is not loud like the Grove dorms. It is right by the business school and the main stretch of food as well as semi-close to the parking garage and activities center.

This dorm hall is super nice!! All of GCU's dorms are really spacious and feel pretty new, and each room has it's own bathroom that you share with your roommate. I chose Chaparral because of it's location and the pool/gym on the first floor, and I've loved living here so far!

The building was kept up with in terms of cleaning and maintenance. My floor all got along and overall a great experience. The only bad part was that the location was only close to the College of Business, a decent walk to the Technology building, but a long walk to any other teaching building.
