Stafford Hall Dorm Reviews at GVSU

I loved Stafford! The only downside is it is the furthest dorm from the dining hall; however, it is still only about a 3 minute walk. If this is an issue, the building right next to it, Kirkpatrick, is identical and slightly closer. Stafford is a suite, meaning you have your own bathroom. The room and bathrooms are a good size, and you can have both beds lofted only half way if you would like. It does seem like a newer suite compared to some, and it is very clean. The common areas are nice, and there are study rooms on every floor.

Standard first-year freshman noise levels. Cleanliness was good in the common areas but the stairwells could have used some work (one time there was human feces in the stairs, but that's college). Loved the suite-style setup, much better sharing a bathroom with my immediate roommate and the girls in the suite next door vs. a whole floor of people. Good room size, and lofting the beds ensured we had plenty of space. It's the furthest dorm from ANYTHING on campus, so leave plenty of time to walk to class. Great exercise potential though, and if you can secure a room with a view into the ravine it's very natural-looking and relaxing having trees outside your window.

Stafford was an all around good experience however itβs downside of being in the back four prevent me from recommending it. But for those who do get put in it, itβs a nice place to live and plenty of people to meet.
