West Hall Dorm Reviews at GWU

West Hall overall is a quiet dorm. The rooms are nice with suites and private bathrooms, however, there has been an issue with mold and cleanliness. Being on the Vern is a detriment. The common spaces could definitely be improved.

West Hall is a quiet, secluded residence hall on the edge of the Mount Vernon Campus. It is the newest residence hall on the Mount Vernon Campus, and around 90% of the population are freshman. Each student lives in a 4-person suite with a shared bathroom and their own bedroom. It is nice, new, and has plenty of other amenities, including a gym, study rooms, food court, dance studio, and music practice rooms, but is too far from the rest of campus for some people.

It was great! Perfect mix of privacy but you could also interact with others in the various common rooms. It's the furthest dorm from the vex so just be prepared to run, especially if you're already late!

It’s is a very clean and taken care of. I love that it is close to the cafeteria and mail room. This hall is cleaned everyday. And disinfected for Covid also everyday. Overall west hall is a great place to live.

Its nice and the inside of the dorm room doesn't feel like a prison cell. After a bit of decor I am very comfortable and the staff is nice. However, I was not aware of how old the building is but that would have never crossed my mind because all the furniture is new.

My neighbors are very loud gamer boys, so I have unwillingly learned a lot from their frustrations. The bathroom is not the best, but we make do. Due to COVID-19, community rooms aren't their usual best. Overall, I really like it here.

I stayed in West Hall my freshman year at UNT. The room was a good size even with two people in it. Sometimes I could hear loud talking from other students late at night. Also, the bathroom was down the hall, which was not very convenient. But my RA was amazing and very helpful when I had questions.

I lived in this dorm my first year and I applied to live in this dorm again this year because of how welcoming the staff and students are, and how clean the dorm is. I am excited to experience it again.
