Osborn Hall Dorm Reviews at Hamline

It was during Covid so it was a little different, I'm sure. my floor was pretty quiet, but there weren't that many people living there this year. The people who were there were nice, and the RAs were very relaxed and nice.

I was on the 4th floor which was a really quiet floor but a task to walk up and down from (no elevator). Was overall a good dorm experience, however Hamline has much better dorms that I would recommend before Osborn.

There were many issues with the maintenance and the bathrooms. The dorm rooms were incredibly small and often our privacy was not respected. I did not appreciate that the laundry room was so far away and there were not many machines.

It is very quiet and you can't really hear anyone unless they are coming out of their rooms. The bathrooms just got new shower curtains so they are not torn and the bathrooms get cleaned everyday. In the common area there are art supplies that people can use which is fun to do.

As an RA in Osborn Hall, I was surprised at how disciplined the residents are. The halls are never noisy or dirty and all of the residents get along. Although we don't have a spacious common area, we still find a way to connect and spend time with each other.

During my first year at Hamline, I lived in part of the "Heights." I really enjoyed the atmosphere of my dorms, specifically the floor I lived on. My RA was so nice and I enjoyed the decorations and themes of the floor, as well as the space she helped to create in order to create an easy transition during this new experience. Along with that, I also enjoyed the people that lived within my dorm as well. We had dorm meetings that made it easier to meet people and learn about things that were going on within our campus as a whole.

I just recently moved into Osborn and everyone here is very welcoming. Most of the people on my dorm floor go home for the weekend so it's always super quiet making it a great place to study. I love how everyone is friendly and will say hi to each other.
