Katharine Parker Hall Dorm Reviews at Hanover College

I would say it has been about average, for the college experience. It was fairly clean, with shared bathrooms and two people to a dorm room. A few of our neighbors were a little loud but not unmanageably so. The only real problem is that two of the four dryers in the basement don't function, so its a fight to get to them first.

I lived in Katherine Parker Hall my freshman year at Hanover College. I enjoyed my freshman year and made some friends with others that lived in KP. The only problems I ran in to were the washer and dryers would stop working and the bathrooms were not always stocked.

There is no air conditioning so during the summer it is HOT inside. I'd rather be outside. We have to flush the toilets twice. For a week we had no hot water. In my hall, only one shower is useable. Only three dryers work and none of them dry fully the first time. The window screens are broken. We are across the street from a frat house that liked to pull pranks and mess with us constantly with no repercussions. The walls are basically paper. But, the rooms are nice, all my furniture works. The wifi works with absolutely no complications. Once summer ended and fall got cold, the dorm was a comfortable temperature. The people are friendly because we all share the same suffering of living in KP. It is also the cheapest dorm for freshmen on campus. KP is far from perfect, but I am saving a lot of money.
