Chesapeake hall Dorm Reviews at James Madison

Living in Chesapeake has been a great experience in terms of community, location, safety, and cleanliness. I would recommend to any freshman coming to JMU to live in Chesapeake because of the variety of food options that are on East Campus and the close proximity.

Chesapeake Hall is a very nice, recently built dormitory at James Madison University. I enjoyed staying on campus in this dorm, but it was a bit far away from the main campus considering Chesapeake Hall is on the east campus. It was clean most of the time, the rooms were a nice size, but there were mainly just hall style bathrooms which could be an issue considering there were only three stalls and four showers per bathroom.

My experience at Chesapeake Hall was amazing. It was well kept, I always felt safe, and the rooms were very spacious. Best part, was that it was next to the dining hall. I would highly recommend to any future residents.

Chesapeake is great since it is one of the newer dorms on campus. You have AC and heat and quick access to bathrooms on your hall. The house keeping staff are super nice and do a great job keeping the place clean.
