During the summer time the room does get hot , so fans are recommended. Once winter comes the dorm is nice and cool. The blank cinderblock walls makes it easy to decorate with posters and lights. The windows are weird and not good for window fans. more

Weaver is part of the Village area dorms at JMU. Although they are not the newest or most upgraded dorms at JMU, they are definitely the best option for people who want to make great friendships with other people (suite style) and be in a central location on campus. more

Shorts Hall

It's interesting. I will say that. I didn't actually know anything about Shorts before I moved in so it definitely was a surprise. It feels like a typical college dorm experience from the movies except that it's slightly worse but that's okay. We've had like 3 fire alarms go off in the middle of the night because people forget to put water in their mac n cheese. more
