Curtiss Dorm Reviews at Jacksonville State

It’s a pretty nice location and in the middle of everything so you don’t miss anything. The dorm rooms are pretty nice for a dorm room and the halls are pretty nice and downstairs laundry room and vending machine are amazing add ons. The 2nd hall bathrooms are pretty much clean as you go ( they leave hair on the walls) so don’t skip out on your shower shoes.

My experience with Curtiss overall was decent, but I and a few issues. The main problem was the bathroom. There is a public bathroom on each floor. There's one on each end of the hall and one in the middle. So you have an option to go to any one of them. My fellow residents were not so clean, so there were a lot of sanitary issues in the bathroom. I would suggest to invest in a shower caddy and some flip flops because the floors are dirty. Showers get clogged easily, so I had to be very mindful on when I was washing my hair. The RA's were very sweet. They were always trying to help and make our experience more enjoyable by creating activities we could participate in at Curtiss. There is a washer and dryer room, but there was not many washer and dryers, so I had to plan accordingly on when to wash my clothes. One time, my clothes were stolen, so I would advise someone to never leave there clothes unattended. OVerall, I felt very safe because there was always an RA at the front desk and in order to get in the building, you had to have a student ID while entering your passcode.
