Dixon Hall Dorm Reviews at KU

The halls are for the most part quiet. I like the common area because of its soundproof qualities. It makes it easier to complete homework and focus when studying. The halls are filled with other athletes so it's easy to relate to my dormmates.

I loved living in Dixon Hall. The staff was so supportive, if occasionally a little excessive. There were many activities that I was able to participate in. The common areas were well-utilized, and I met many long-term friends out of living there.

I lived in Dixon my first two years at KU and absolutely loved it! You only share your bathroom with max 4 people - it's fantastic! Plus, the rooms are plenty big for two people in the double suits. I lived in the single suites my sophomore year, which really just felt like living in an apartment. Best dorms on campus.

I lived in Dixon my freshman year and I loved it, there were always people around to talk to and the lounge was a fun place to hang out. Although, the freshman football players were put on the second half of my floor and they destroyed everything possible. They put holes in the wall, destroyed exit signs, and made sure the lounge was always a mess. The maintenance staff had their hands full with them and I think they did a great job.

The staff at Dixon is extremely friendly. The dorm is an upperclassman dorm so it is more quiet and more people keep to themselves. The dorms have both AC and heating that you can control in your suite.

I lived there for 2 semesters. It was a good dorm and did the trick. Single rooms were the best because you didn’t have someone sharing your bedroom. It was the largest form building they had on campus.

Overall, my experience has been pretty great. The neighbors are loud sometimes but it wasn't the end of the world, and the other students, like the CAs, and the staff are friendly. My only real problem is my Mailbox would get stuck, plus there was no common area thanks to covid so I can't rate that properly.

My time being in Dixon Hall North was quite nice. It had been my first semester going to live in a college dorm. Has a space set out for me for me to do my own work which was good. Overall my experience was quite nice.
