Golden Bear Village South Dorm Reviews at KU

It's pretty decent to live in, except for when the fire alarms went off at random times in the day. Apparently the boiler room kept overheating and triggering the fire alarms. The heater, during the winter, often kept blasting very strongly, which was also annoying, but opening the window to let the cool air in helped.

It’s a very well kept space. I like the area where it’s located. Feels like I actually own my own apartment. I just with maintenance would just knock before coming into out apartments without notifying us.

Living at Golden Bear South was great as you get to be "on your own." But as with all of Kutztown's dorms, they need renovating. The location is also not ideal at all, the trip to class is lengthy and bothersome especially in cold weather.

Golden Bear Village South is a very comfy living arrangement. Especially during the COVID-19 time. It provides enough space to where as if quarantining was needed it wouldn’t serve a problem. Also during the pandemic rules was set in place to ensure the safety of the people living there. Such as no more than two people on the elevator. The CA/RA’s are friendly and make you feel welcomed.

Honestly was a great apartment to live in. Covid did making it harder because most of my roommates stayed home so buying food, microwaves, etc. was a little difficult. I enjoyed having my own space. Right on campus but separates you from the dorms.

Pretty nice living area. There are some nice looking student lounges and common areas around the buildings, but due to current restrictions, I cannot offer any deep insight into how they are actually run.
