Located nearly at the heart of campus, Akin Hall is one of the smaller on campus housing options available to under and upper classmen. There are communal bathrooms on both floors and the maintenance staff are extremely friendly. Every room in Akin Hall has walk-in closets with dressers, extra-long beds, expandable desks, and students are able to rent any appliances they could need. The welcoming atmosphere of Akin is astounding, known to be the Multicultural Engagement hub, students from all over the world live in Akin to make it a cultural awakening to other students who get to share experiences with international friends. Everyone in Akin is open, friendly, and down to Earth. Students are respectful of each other, regardless of gender identity, race, economic status, and familial background. I couldn't imagine living in another dorm.
