The Village (Norton, Peters, McClelland, & Burchett) Dorm Reviews at LMU

The Village is Apartment styles living. It’s good for people who usually tend to bring more stuff to school (like myself). It’s more expensive but definitely worth it considering the personal space, full kitchen, and living room. I would recommend this to any who enjoys living with others but also needs their own space.

For a freshman I think the Village is the best living arrangement because you get to experience the college life with athletes or NARPS and the environment is great especially for meeting new people. Also if you enjoy volleyball there is a court right in front of the building.

Living in the village has been an opportunity I have looked forward to ever since I started at LMU. After 3 years in the "standard" dorms of Liles, it has been night and day difference. The quality of living in the village is ten times better than Liles. It is centrally located in between the math and science building and the student center, two of the buildings I spend most of my time in. My experience at the village has been amazing. It is difficult having to get along with five room mates, but with that put aside, the quality is astounding. The only downside would be safety. It is one of the many dorms that the doorway opens up directly outside. If it weren't for Student Government getting Peepholes installed in the main doors, we wouldn't even have those as a safety feature yet. All in all, I highly recommend the village as a dormitory for any student wishing to live on campus, while they are the more expensive dorms, they are exceptionally worth it.
