Bonin Hall Dorm Reviews at UL Lafayette

My experience at Bonin was great . The staff was attentive, the dorm was clean, and quiet. The only issue was the bathrooms being dated and small, which have since been upgraded. The building was kept neat and clean. I always felt safe staying here.

The facilities at UL are honestly incredible. The rooms are very well maintained by staff, and if there was ever and issue, it was handled quickly by maintenance. I lived in the 4-person suites for 3 years of undergrad (2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 people per room/bathroom), and the rooms were spacious enough for myself and my immediate roommate to personalize each half of the room. Bonin Hall did not have communal bathrooms, so it was just myself and my roommate to a bathroom, which was definitely a plus. Since there were two rooms to a suite, all four of our keys worked for the suite door, but they would work only for our actual room. So if my suitemates' room door was locked, I couldn't get into their room with my key, and vice versa, which was a nice security feature. For the building as a whole, the communal spaces were always well maintained and respected by students. There were plenty of study rooms, usually about 3 to each floor, and they were all furnished comfortably. The main kitchen downstairs wasn't huge, but there was plenty of space to cook as needed. The laundry room had plenty of machines for students and they were all free to use! I didn't stay in Bonin Hall all four years, I was also in Hubert Hall for one year, and I lived off campus for the last. Hubert was much the same. 10/10 experience in both.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay in Bonin Hall. The group of RAs I had were wonderful and always throwing events for us! They definitely made my first year a great experience. The maintenance is a little slow at times, but whatever needs to be done will get done.

This is a very nice, updated dorm that makes living on campus easy. The rooms in the dorm have hardwood floor, tile bathrooms, and decent size closets. The maximum amount of people sharing a bathroom is 2.

I liked Bonin because of the convenience of the location to my classes. The rooms were clean and kept up nicely. The furniture was up to date and I really enjoyed all the storage that came with it. Occasionally, it was a little noisy but nothing too bad.

My experience at Bonin Hall has been very good I haven’t had any problems. The staff gets up early at around 7 A.M. and bleaches everything down making sure it’s nice and clean. Its mostly quiet so I never have to worry about too many loud noises. Lastly the maintenance is kept up to part and I’m always notified beforehand so I know when to expect him to show.
