Miller Hall Dorm Reviews at U of L

Miller hall was probably one of the worst dorms on our campus. It is really old and not the cleanest. It was in a nice location in relation to campus and the staff of the building were nice but the dorm it self was not good.

When I lived at Miller Hall, there used to be mold, so in terms of cleanliness, it wasn't the best. The worker's at the front desk were very nice and friendly. During my stay, I made many new friends.

Miller Hall is one of the oldest dorms on campus, and it defiantly shows. Miller is in a great location on campus, but the maintenance and cleanliness of the dorm makes the farther dorms look better. This has been a perfectly fine dorm for my freshman year, but I am excited for an upgrade that is coming.

My experience at Miller Hall was terrible. The hall is not cleaned, the bathrooms are dirty, and some rooms have mold. I do not recommend to anyone to stay at Miller Hall and I believe it is like this because this is the last year the Hall will be hosting residents.

Miller hall is the oldest dorm building at U of L and the most affordable. Some positives about Miller hall is that it is in walking distance of the Brusar office, REACH (tutoring) center, every hall you’ll have a class in and the Student Activity Center which has the school merchandise (shirts, hoodies, pants hats, school supplies, electronics) The Marketplace(food court), the mailroom, and a Starbucks. The negatives are that its farthest away from the dining hall, the gym, and non Camus affiliated restaurants, there’s no elevator, the air will have you freezing in the first semester and overly hot in the winter. And roaches... not in the rooms but everywhere else.

Miller Hall is a very typical hall for a first year freshman. You can tell that the building is old, and you can tell that it has seen better days. Miller has been a good fit for me with its location. I am close to my classes, and I have created friendships with other residence on my floor.

I enjoy that this dorm was very close to campus and cheaper than other campus dorms. This dorm also had an open kitchen are that allowed the students to cook and store there food. There is also events held monthly in this dorm.

It was an experience, so to say. Overall, I would say it sucked. It was little and it smelled and I didn't have any control over the heat or AC. Luckily, it was close to everything on campus. I could sleep in and be to any of my classes within 5 minutes or less.

Joan Miller is traditionally for Greek Life but you may live there if you aren't in a sorority. It's something to know going in that you will be living among them in masses. It hasn't changed much over the years but is in a good location for getting to classes.

I have never had a problem with noise or the cleanliness of the residence halls. Housekeeping come through every morning to tidy things up. All of my floor mates are amazing and considerate people. Miller Hall used to be an old hospital, but has been renovated for students to live on our beautiful campus

My experience at Miller Hall hasn't been terrible but it's been stressful especially living on the 4th floor. If I knew about the 4th floor or how long this building has been standing, I probably would NOT have applied for housing in this building!
