Itβs a suite-style dorm, so youβre only living with about 5-7 other people per floor. Thereβs no elevator, so itβs not too accessible especially the forth and fifth floors. Thereβs no cleaning staff for the suites itself, so you have to clean the bathrooms yourself.

I lived in Daniel MacLea Hall for my freshman year at McDaniel. The building is suit-style, and I never felt that the rooms were too close together or crowded. My suitemates and I got along well, and we seldom had any issues with our neighbors. The only issues I had were with the conditions of the bathrooms. there was rust and mold along the edges of the shower railings, and housekeeping never came to clean the restrooms even during COVID-19. Maintenance did respond promptly when we put in work orders. Air conditioning as a freshman was definitely a bonus!

DMC is the honors dorm at McDaniel and one of the premium housing. If you are eligible to live here, I highly recommend it. It is in the middle of campus and right across the quad from the gym and cafeteria. The lounge-style also makes it very easy to befriend other students in the suite.
