Stanford Residential College Dorm Reviews at University of Miami

Stanford dorms are noisy and full of drugs. The benefits are that the bathrooms and dorms are clean and the RAs are nice. The campus police are nice. Another negative thing is that the dorms are small.

Stanford is noisy and full of drugs. The dorm and bathrooms are clean. The common areas are nice. The dorm rooms are small. The RAs are nice and the campus police are helpful but the dorms are not safe.

Stanford is not the nicest dorm, but you can make it feel homey. The communal bathrooms may seem unappealing at first, but they are actually a way to connect with the people on your floor and make friends. It is also nice that you do not have to clean your own bathrooms; they are cleaned by staff three times a day. Stanford is right next to the gym and the dining hall which is definitely a plus. Construction outside can sometimes be loud though, and it has woken me up early in the morning on a number of occasions. Make sure to clean your room thoroughly when you move in as the rooms are not very clean. The study rooms are very basic with just a whiteboard and a table, but they are still a helpful place to get work done.

Stanford was in a central location and made it very convenient to get around campus. However, it was very loud, dirty, and the maintenance staff was not helpful. My dorm had terrible mold issues and it took the entire school year for anyone to believe me.

The dorms felt like being in a bunker - everything was outdated. The bathrooms were supposedly cleaned every day, but were somehow always dirty, half the washers and dryers were always broken, and the building honestly made you question why you were paying so much to attend. One time I was locked out of my dorm, and they couldn't make me a temp card and lost the master key.

It's a community pretty much, it's very easy to make friends and find guidance if you're struggling with something. The staff is super friendly and supportive. If I ever had an issue with a class, I could always ask a question and they'll do their best to accommodate.

Living in Stanford residential college was a cool experience, I met a lot of people and made new friends while those around me listened to the guidelines of the campus and continued to social distance and follow campus ruling. The residential assistants are great and clear with what goes and what doesn’t.

Standard, very old brick dorms. The real beauty of them is the hurricane shutters on the windows, which you can shut to fully blackout your room. It's been years and I miss those shutters every single day.
