Quiet, comfortable, clean. Would recommend to anyone considering attending Montana State University. Right next to the Miller dining hall and is located in a good spot relative to other things on campus. more

North Hedges Hall

The north Hedges Hall have smaller rooms but the closets are compacted with space in them and you can move your bed up to create more space in your room. One of the most negative things about this Hall is there are no bathrooms in the rooms so you have to share more

Hyalite Hall

Nice because it's equidistant to both the dining halls. The social life is pretty average, there are people hanging around if that's what you want to do, but it's not totally in your face. Very nice facilities, especially bathrooms. Awesome that it has bike + ski lockers :) more

South Hedges Hall

South Hedges are old and loud. It's close to Roskie, which is very loud. There is asbestos in the ceilings on some of the floors. The dividers in the showers are short enough that people can make eye contact with the person showering next to them. more

Roskie Hall

I have lived in Roskie hall for two semesters now. During my first semester, my experience in general went relatively well; there was hardly any issue regarding noise levels at night and in general. However, now during my second semester, there are constant and routine disruptions when I try to sleep at night - doors slamming, people screaming, and the hallways occasionally smelling like weed. Not a terrible experience, but also not a great one after starting my second semester here. more

My time living at Hapner Hall was comforting and quiet in a time of need. As a college freshman, study time is imperative, and the living environment in Hapner Hall allows this to flourish. While Hapner did not have much of a social environment, its cleanliness and quiet allowed me to excel academically my freshman year. more

ResLife Apartments

It is a great place for students to live on campus IF they are interested in staying near campus in a quiet area. It is not a dorm experience what-so-ever. The apartments are a 5-10 minute walk to the nearest (and smaller) dining hall. A 15-minute walk to the main dining hall. Many students are sophomores or juniors who disliked the "dorm experience" (which is mostly the culture of living on floors with roommates, social experiences, partying, etc etc). For introverted people who enjoy a moment further away from the chaos of freshman college life, it is a great choice. If you plan on meeting friends through college activities I would not choose this as an option due to distance from campus buildings and lack of social opportunities and other extroverted people. On the plus side, there are many single bedroom options which you should take because doubles are smaller than any other dorms doubles on campus. there is a full kitchen and small living room. more

Roskie

Very fun-filled atmosphere, with activities happening 24/7. If you are an extrovert and outgoing, then Roskie is definitely the dorm for you here on the Bozeman MSU campus! However, be aware of the fact that Roskie is usually rocking 24/7. It can be difficult to get to sleep or do homework on weeknights if you are a person that needs quiet time. more

I have not yet experienced my dorm yet however, I have a friend who stated they are clean and nice dorms. I cannotwait to have the college experience. I'm hoping to enjoy my stay in the dorms and make the dorm feel like home. more

Mullan Hall

Mullen was the foreign exchange dorm, so there were all sorts of different people around. It had the largest rooms available at the time, and the cafeteria was located inside the dorm. It had a large open area by the front door that allowed for groups of people to hang out. more

Hapner

The dorm is very quiet and clean and is also an all-girls dorm. There are ski lockers and a movie theatre that can be rented out. The girls mostly keep to themselves in my experience. Unfortunately, the dorm is located at the bottom of a hill so it is a hike every morning but it is just a short walk to a dining hall. more
