It is a great place for students to live on campus IF they are interested in staying near campus in a quiet area. It is not a dorm experience what-so-ever. The apartments are a 5-10 minute walk to the nearest (and smaller) dining hall. A 15-minute walk to the main dining hall. Many students are sophomores or juniors who disliked the "dorm experience" (which is mostly the culture of living on floors with roommates, social experiences, partying, etc etc). For introverted people who enjoy a moment further away from the chaos of freshman college life, it is a great choice. If you plan on meeting friends through college activities I would not choose this as an option due to distance from campus buildings and lack of social opportunities and other extroverted people.
On the plus side, there are many single bedroom options which you should take because doubles are smaller than any other dorms doubles on campus. there is a full kitchen and small living room.
