McKay Village Dorm Reviews at NAU

My experience is good, the staff are picky about a few annoying things however. Maintenance also takes a while to answer reports, and even deleted one of mine recently. Otherwise, McKay is really great for the price.

Overall McKay has got to be the best apartment or dorm at NAU. The student staff are wonderful and super nice. McKay's facilities are very well kept and always attentive to dorm dwellers. I would recommend McKay over any other NAU dorms available.

It is a great place to live but the air conditioning is purposely removed and replaced with heated floors. Water pressure is poor and there is obvious wear and tear on the appliances. Being on the first floor you are close to the ground, which means someone could easily pear into your window.

It was the best place I have ever lived in. I grew up in a bad part of town in Anchorage Alaska and my and brothers usually shared a bedroom. At Mckay Village, I had a very large personal bedroom with a huge closet. I shared a bathroom with another girl and there were 2 other girls who shared another bathroom. The furniture was a little old but we had a kitchen bar with stools and a washer and dryer in the apartment. We paid no utilities and had a lot of storage space. My favorite part of the whole apartment was the huge window in my bedroom that let in a lot of natural sunlight.

My experience at McKay Village had been great! I couldn’t have asked to be placed in a better residence hall! It’s beautiful and had excellent facilities that are conducive to student success. The location is also perfect!
