Redwood Hall Dorm Reviews at New Jersey

My experience at Redwood Hall was overall positive and I had almost no issues during my stay. The only major issue was maintenance as there were times there was no soap or toilet in the communal bathroom. Additionally, more common areas and study rooms would also improve the experience.

Redwood hall was really good for freshman. It was in the middle of campus so it was close to everything and felt safe and secluded from the city. The room sizes were okay and overall it was a good place to be as a freshman.

Redwood Hall is a hidden gem of the NJIT’s five dormitories. It is not the choice that many are encouraged to choose when entering the university but one I was happy that I made. Living there allowed me private room accommodation’s which is mostly unheard of as a college freshmen. It was located locally to all facilities on campus, and was always secured making me confident in the safety of where I was staying. It also allowed me to become close with my neighbors one of which will be my roommate this upcoming semester. However I did have one main issue with my dormitory which was a lack of maintaining in the bathrooms as they were constantly dirty and damaged. This was not the fault of building staff as much of these issues were caused by students who were newly unsupervised adults away from home. Outside of the bathrooms, there were often times mechanical issues with one of the two elevators in the building causing it to be out of service. But my overall experience was much better then those few issue. The building staff was always kind, attentive and took care of the dorm to the best of there ability which is why I was so happy to live in Redwood Hall.
