Babbette Smith North Dorm Reviews at Norfolk State

It’s an overall good place to stay, not as clean as I would expect it to be but that’s college life for you. It’s quiet when it wants to be but mostly it’s the guys who play very loud music or scream at their game systems at around 1-3am like others aren’t sleeping for possibly their next class tomorrow. But the lobby staff are tremendous, the enviro is somewhat safe due to the surrounding areas, and it’s a decent experience for a freshman male.

During my time at Towers I can truly say it was a great first year of college to live there. I met life long friends and made many great memories. The dorm director, Ms. Harris, was amazing! If we need anything she and the GA were always there.

It is normal. I found that the individuals in my dorm are friendly and understand that a certain level of cleanliness is necessary. I am not satisfied with the common bathroom. When you have to use the bathroom you never know what to expect. I have learned to live with the fact that I do not have my own bathroom in my dorm room. I’m no longer at home which is a change for me. Where I live in the dorm studying is OK because it is usually quiet and we have a common goal. Also we look out for each other as far as safety is concern. I’m not at school to make a lot of friends but the ones that I talk to are very encouraging because college is very difficult and sometimes you need a voice from someone else that is encouraging.

Babbette Smith North was okay. it is a great experience for freshmen. some floor are dirty and some floors are alright. some floor are loud and other floors are quiet. people set off alarms so many times. but at the same time it was very fun being in that hall. If I had another time to go back, I would.

So last year my freshman year, I stayed at Babette Smith North, also know as towers. It was probably the best place to stay as a freshman and great environment. There is a game room, a middle lobby, and a quiet room.

Babbette Smith North aka Towers is a all female dormitory for freshman with 10 floors. Due us being in a pandemic we can't do too much because we have to follow the CDC's guidelines. The staff has made it to where we have events online to keep us connected with one another. The building is very welcoming and has some of the most nicest staff ever. My overall experience in towers so far is wonderful. I love my dorm room, my roommate is so sweet, and the new friends I have found already are really amazing people.
