Rosa Alexander Dorm Reviews at Norfolk State

The building was very outdated and needed lots of work. The bathrooms always had broken sinks or toilets, and girls would not clean up after themselves on top of that. Laundry room is literally the size of a closet, barely any space to do anything. Could be 100% better over all, housing rates are too much to be living in those conditions.

I stayed in Rosa Alexander my freshman year. It was a fun and new experience. It was an all-girls residential dorm. My RAs and staff always had fun games and movie nights for us to attend. The only thing I disliked was that the dorm is right near where the band practices and sometimes its hard to study or take a nap.

Rosa was one the best campus life experiences I have had. Although I was roomed with upperclassmen, I was still able to make friends and feel safe while rooming there. So many memories!! Behold THE GREEN AND GOLD FOREVER

My experience in Rosa Alexander wasn't the worst but definitely wasn't the best. Upon arrival I was excited I mean who would be I graduated a year early and went off to college. When you're in front of it there are plants out, pink ones come out during the summer such a beautiful site. The doors can only be opened with your student key so a stranger cannot just walk in. There are three floors, the first floor doesn't have washing machines. The second and third floors have washers and dryers. A lot of girls argue about laundry and some girls take a while to get their clothes out. There's been an incident where girls in the dormitories have argued because someone removed their clothes from the dryer. The rooms are pretty bland you have to dress them up yourself. The AC isn't self-controlled so you'll have to call a RA ( Residents Assistant) to come to turn it up or down. My freshman year of college put some trust in my RA's they are pretty decent for the most part. If the microwave isn't clean it might be taken by a resident assistant. At the beginning of the semester, you will have fire drills and it can be pretty annoying. Aside from that, they do have fun resident hall bonding events. Movie night and much more. The noise isn't really bad at Rosa. Quiet time is at 10 that's when everyone is getting ready for bed, you can be fined $25 if you receive a noise complaint. I enjoyed my time in Rosa and I think anyone would I would definitely recommend that dormitory.
