Oneida Hall Dorm Reviews at Oswego

It was alright. It can be loud at times or a mess but it’s normal. I wished the people in the building wasn’t so loud at 3 am at night. I don’t like the bathrooms that much either. It works but the shower stalls could be improved by a lot, but it’s fine.

During my time in Oneida Hall, I had an overall great experience. The dorm hall had a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, with friendly neighbors and a strong sense of community. There were plenty of opportunities to socialize and make friends, and the common areas provided a comfortable space for studying or hanging out with roommates. The resident advisors were helpful and organized engaging activities, fostering a sense of belonging among the residents. However, if I were to point out one drawback, it would be the cleanliness of the bathrooms. While they were functional, they could have been cleaner. It would have been more pleasant if the custodial staff paid closer attention to the cleanliness and maintenance of these facilities. Despite this minor issue, it didn't significantly impact my overall experience in Oneida Hall. Another aspect to consider is the location of Oneida Hall in relation to the academic buildings. It was situated a bit farther away, which meant a longer walk to attend classes. This could be inconvenient, especially during bad weather or when running late. However, it's worth mentioning that the university provided shuttle services to help students commute between the dorms and academic buildings, which partially alleviated the issue. Additionally, the distance encouraged me to explore other parts of the campus and familiarize myself with different areas, which turned out to be a positive aspect. In conclusion, while my experience in Oneida Hall was predominantly positive, there were a few areas for improvement. The sense of community and the friendly atmosphere made it a great place to live, but the cleanliness of the bathrooms could have been better. Additionally, the distance from the academic buildings posed a minor inconvenience, although it encouraged me to discover new parts of the campus. Overall, despite these small drawbacks, Oneida Hall provided a memorable and enjoyable dormitory experience.

I had a lot of fun in Oneida. I lived on the all girls floor which was great. I had a really fun and chill RA and they had great events. I loved how we had the dining hall, computer lab and the gym downstairs. It made living here really convenient. The only drawback is that West campus can be rather far.

Oneida hall is small yet so full of personality. West side is known as the fun side because its where all the fun kids go so I definitely recommend it. Other then oneida onondaga is the next best and I honestly had so much fun in both!
