Lawrence Hall Dorm Reviews at Point Park

The dorms are not well kept up in lawrence and need serious updates and repairs. The food made me sick the entire semester. My shower for the last 3 months of winter semester was broken and no one would come to fix it. The dorms were always loud, smelling bad and disgusting.

for a first year residency it was a lot more decent than expected! lawrence hall is conveniently connected to academic hall where classrooms are located as well as the dining hall, cafe, mail room and the bookstore. everything is located super close by and can be accessed safely from inside the buildings.

Overall, my stay at Lawrence hall was not completely awful, just not the best. With COVID-19 happening I was not able to have my roommate which made the experience more lonely than it would have been. It is just an old building that very clearly needs some renovation, considering how much room and board costs. On top of it, there is no air conditions so the first few months of the first semester were incredibly hot.

My experience has been good. There is no air conditioning in my room so that was an adjustment. The room is small so I was grateful that I didn’t have a roommate. COVID-19 has put a damper on my freshman experience but overall it’s been great.
