Hillenbrand Dorm Reviews at Purdue

I was a former resident in Hillenbrand Hall as a part of the data mine learning community, I think the facilities present at hillenbrand are adequate however the location is a bit far from where classes are making it difficult sometimes to reach.

I lived in a 2 person room with a shared bathroom; 4 people shared a bathroom. The bathrooms were regularly cleaned, as was the rest of the dorm. There's a dining hall downstairs, so you don't even have to go outside to get your food. The AC gave me no issues, so I was able to keep the room cool in fall and late spring, and toasty during the winter. The only issues that ran into were with some of the fixtures - the fluorescent light that provided illumination for my room was somewhat unpleasant, and had an irritating tendency to flicker, but it would flicker so quickly that you weren't even sure if it had flickered sometimes, so you felt gaslighted by the room itself. The shower-head in the bathroom had to be replaced at some point, since it had gotten clogged, but that only happened once. Overall, my issues were minor, and I would definitely recommend Hillenbrand to any who want to find a place to stay on campus.

Hillenbrand is one of the nicer dorms at Purdue, with suite bathrooms rather than floor bathrooms, and working AC. The only downside is that it is pretty far from academic campus which means long walks each day.

In my opinion, Hillenbrand is one of the best dorms at Purdue. It is one of the newest and cleanest dorms. You have your own bathroom shared with three other people. There is also a dining court in the building which means you don't have to go out in the cold to get food. Hillenbrand is also typically a quiet dorm which is nice for studying. Another plus is that each floor has a lounge which most people use for studying.

Great dorm but loud hallways even at night but having a shared bathroom is nice compared to a community one. The staff in the building was always friend and helpful even the cleaning staff who would come in our dorm once a week to clean our bathroom.

It good but it's far away walk to most of my classes. It decent at least having a dining court in it. Its nice and quiet. I would say that the common areas are not my ideal area to study. It is a co ed dorm, the only truly co ed dorm. On one side of the hall are guys and on the other side is girls.

Going to college for my first time, I was nervous. However, I was pleasantly surprised to arrive at Hillenbrand and find the location and its facilities operating at a level beyond my expectations. The people and the staff are nice, and the study rooms are very quiet. I should also note that the building is very clean, and has persistent air-conditioning, which is great for my asthma Overall, I would recommend this dorm to anyone with breathing troubles, as it will keep you safe.
