DeSmet Hall Dorm Reviews at Regis

My experience at DeSmet hall was okay overall. One thing that really stuck out to me was how disgusting the basement was. The basement is a common area for people in the dorms and my god it’s disgusting in there. The fridge never gets cleaned out, people never take out the trash, nothing. It’s awful. The location, however is great. It’s positioned perfectly in relation to the dining and lecture halls

It's important to find a good room mate. The people you surround yourself in living situations is very important. There is a new side and an old side, both are fine one side just has dry-wall compared to brick, as well as bigger communal bathrooms with floor to ceiling bathroom doors.

I am currently in my 2nd semester in Desmet hall and so far I don't have any complaints. The staff is very nice and helpful. I noticed the bathrooms are cleaned everyday and our RA is also very helpful and nice. I feel welcomed and well taken care of in the Desmet hall. I also feel very safe here.

Even with this semester being different because of covid the dorm area was cleaned and kept up. The common areas allowed me to still hang out with my friends in a safe and social distanced environment. I would say this is the best freshman dorm. The resident assistant's are always available and able to help. I would have to say the hardest thing is the communal showers just because they can get a tad crowed but I think it adds to the college experience.
