Garden at The Hive Dorm Reviews at SCAD

The Garden at the Hive was clean except for the dirty laundry area, especially inside the washers. The location of the dorm was a bit depressing because it was in the back. Regarding safety, I felt very safe and safety resources were in place for every situation.

Having my first year at the Hive was really enjoyable. You have a gym, cafe, and coffee shop there. The bus stops and the mail room is close by as well. Any issues really depend on roommates and not knowing how to do maintenance requests.

The hive generally seems nice but there is little noise filter, bright lights directly outside bedroom windows that have shades which not only let light in but let people see you inside your dorm, and maintnence is difficult to acquire for days at a time even in urgent cases

It is a relatively peaceful dorm building, though I had the loudest roommates on the whole floor. Some students would smoke and I could smell it when I was walking down the halls. Personally, I think the common area should be re-decorated. It has clashing themes that aren’t pleasant to the eye.

My freshman year at Garden at The Hive was incredible. The staff and environment was relaxing and clean. It was nice having all freshman around on one part of our campus. It was easy to connect with other creative individuals and it gave me a great experience.
