University Village Dorm Reviews at SVSU

It was a pretty nice place living wise, close to the dining hall and some classes. only issue was not enough parking for everyone sometimes ended up being a long walk and if you parked in the wrong spot, you would get a parking ticket. The free lots were only to be used before midnight, you could not stay there, overnight, even if there was not enough parking in your specific zone.

I enjoyed the spacious dorm life in University Village at SVSU. My roommates were amazing, the community was fantastic. The only complaint I would have would be parking, there was not enough parking spots per residents.

Honestly, it is so nice to live in these specific dorms for college. They are so roomy and affordable than the freshman buildings. Two bathrooms, a huge living room, and a full kitchen. I feel like I am living in an apartment, then just a dorm, and you get to pick who you live with and the location!

I have live there for one year so far and am living in them again once I go back to school. They were pretty clean and everyone around us was very friendly and nice. Only thing was there were a couple of times when we had a lot of spiders, but other than that the dorm area was very clean and maintenance came as soon as they could.

University Village tends to be loud at times, given the larger population of students and being further away from main campus. People can get rowdy around specific times of the semester. However, it is near campus police. Always enjoyed the setup of University Village. Decent housing and area to live in.

I had an overall excellent experience in University Village-West. In my first two years, I had to live inefficiencies and that was not what I preferred. University Village provided you privacy with each resident having their own room and 2 bathrooms amongst us 4 instead of 1 bathroom. Additionally, even with our separation from the rooms, it still allowed us to hang out and socialize. It is very similar to an apartment, only on campus. My roommates are what made it the best though. They were so much fun, sweet and caring. I was always overwhelmed with school work being in the nursing program, but they always included me and understood if I couldn't do something. They decorated for every holiday and our room actually won 1st place in the decoration contest within our section! Overall, everything was acceptable, but who you live with will make it even better! I included a picture of our apartment that helped us win the contest, but love being in the holiday spirit!
