I love my RA and all the other people on my floor. Everyone is so nice and welcoming and it's just overall a great residence hall and I'm glad I chose this one. It also has great staff and there's always tons of events going on.

My time in the 1940 residence halls has been rather pleasant and i quite enjoyed my stay, the rooms themselves had a decent amount of space to acomodate for everything I had/needed. In my time there I explored the common areas as well and other offered amenaties, we are given quite enjoyeable resources and amenaties.

In my opinion, it is the best dorm at Temple University. It is central on campus which is why they call it " the heart". There are an abundance of food places right outside such as Playa Bowls, Chinese food, pizza, and many food trucks. It is in a short walking distance from the Student Center, and it is close to all of the academic buildings. I met some of my best friends here. I couldn't recommend it enough!

For the 3 weeks I was living on campus, I had a fantastic time! I made new friends the day I came to Temple University. Most of them lived in the 1940 residence hall the same as me and we had an amazing time together. The 1940 hall is very clean and has a lot of space to hang out in with friends. There's a study area on each floor and a huge common area on the main floor.

One of the top three dorms you should look into for your first year. Close to the library, bell tower and cute little shops and restaurants on campus. The suit style dorms are really a bang for your buck if you donβt want a traditional form or an apartment style dorm.

I stayed during Covid for a little while and ended up being moved to Morgan. The two weeks I was there was okay. The staff was really nice and I felt like the location was great on campus. But there other alternatives that are cheaper.

I wish I could have made more fun memories there, but I'm sure I will next fall semester!

1940 was a great dorm. I lived in two other dorms at Temple, and this was a great place to live in as a freshman. The security is great, the location is perfectly in the middle of the campus, and it is right near the J&H dining hall which is super convenient. The layout is very open and the ceilings are nice and high. The bathrooms are great because you only share them with your other three roommates, so no communal grossness. I also think I made the most friends at this dorm because you have three roommates and everyone on your floor usually hangs out in the common areas. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Overall it was a great experience and I will stay with the roommates I was with as Freshman. It was in a great location on the campus. There is a small courtyard that we were always hanging out in and playing football. The security guards and RA's were all very nice.

This was a nice dorm to stay in as a freshman. It was close to many things such as the library, dining halls, classrooms, and food options. It was the heart of campus. The dorms were nice and pretty spacious. The common area was not great because of COVID, the little courtyard was also not the best. It felt like a prison. Overall 1940 was nice because it was so close to everything. It was a very comfortable living space and the security made you feel safe.
