First time freshman here at UAB and I am here to tell you the dorms are small, but they are livable. It is a Waze walk from the campus especially if you are a science major, which I am plus I have chronic asthma, so I always have to take my meds before I begin my journey onto my classes as far as a common area very nice, the staff could be better it’s not loud well there’s not a lot of noise I believe the dorm rooms are noise proof so I wouldn’t be able to hear what’s going on next-door. We do have our own washer and dryer in the common area but this is not the best dorm rooms. There are other door of the UAB offer. They have restaurants at the bottom and other basic living things.
