Mahogany Hall Dorm Reviews at UC Davis

It was nice and quiet everyone was pretty friendly. RA's were nice and helpful. Close to most classes (within 5 to 15min walk) even better if you have a bike. Bathrooms are clean staff is friendly, building is in excellent conditions, ac and heater. Close to the Dinning Commons and the ARC (the student gym). Overall a great experience, lived there for a year and would recommend.

Living here during the pandemic was strange because common areas were closed off due to contamination and contracting the illness. Nevertheless, the staff did a magnificent job handling the sanitation and cleanliness of the dorm hall. They cleaned the bathroom about twice a day and always took the appropriate time to do a deep clean and make sure there were no germs. Additionally, the location was more a little more secluded than previous residence halls I've stayed in, but surprisingly the noise level was pretty normal despite the fact that we were right next to the cows and a street.

Our floor was the designated quiet floor, but in reality we had been the most outgoing and loud floor in the whole dorm. The first few days in the dorm are for socializing as the term does not start for a few days after move-in. But overall, our dorm had alluring individuals of which had a plethora of artistic ability. Very often we would have "art competitions" are just draw openly on whiteboards around the dorm. It was a refreshing and interesting display of talent all year long.

It was clean and very welcoming. I enjoyed the bright beige colors this form had. In addition, the lounges in the halls were very comfortable. I was able to get work done and meet with other dorm mates for help.

It was a great place to live in. You can see the cows just across the street. It can get a little dusty, but totally worth it. I loved getting to know my two roommates. We were always in the lounge or going to the DC!
