My freshman year of college at the Mesa Court: Classic Halls was a good experience. I met some cool people and had a chill RA. I loved my roommate and sharing a double room as it was very spacious. I enjoyed studying in my room or common rooms because it was always chill and the people who lived there were respectful. I loved the surrounding area as we were surrounded by nature. There were many trees, animals, and plants. The maintenance people made sure to keep everything clean and organized. Overall, it was a beautiful place and it always made me feel safe.

My experience at the Mesa Court Classic Halls was good as it provided me with a lot of opportunity to engage socially and academically. My RA and other Mesa Court staff members were very kind and everything is very accessible. However, we experienced many issues regarding bathroom water leakage and roaches throughout the year.

It was okay kinda boring but the RA hosts some events so itβs not too bad. Bathroom etiquette needs to be covered and more washers and dryers need to be installed especially on every floor. Overall not too bad

Dorming at Mesa Classics can really very depending on which hall you are in and its size/theme. However Mesa offers plenty of opportunity for socialization and has the best atmosphere of the dorms on campus!

I lived in the Mesa Court classic hall called βArroyoβ. I personally really liked living here as it gave me independence. The people here were really nice and I enjoyed the overall community! If I could do the whole experience of dormming again, I definitely would. It was fun getting to meet new people, going to the dining hall whenever I got hungry, and my RA was really great at managing the dorm and making it even more enjoyable for us living in this dorm!

In the classic halls the rooms, restrooms, and communal areas are a bit more on the old side despite claiming to have recently renovated them. In addition, the ceilings are extremely low, I am only 5 foot and still hit the ceiling when climbing up to the top bunk bed.

As a freshman, Mesa Court is a dormitory worth experiencing if you want to meet new people and have a social life at UCI, despite it being farther from classes. It is known to be the most social dormitory on campus.

I got placed in a dorm of Arts Majors even though I was a biology major. I made some nice friends but the whole year I felt really out of place because no one in my dorm took the same classes as me or had many similar interests. I wish they had done a better job of hall assignments because I think my experience could have been much better in a different dorm. The room itself was pretty large for a double, my roommate and I fit comfortably and never really invaded the other's private space. The views/overall atmosphere of Mesa Court are unbeatable. Definitely would recommend it.

The classic halls are two stories with a kitchen and a laundry room on the second floor (the washer is oddly small while the dryer is very big? The dryer is also insanely hot and has burned my laundry, especially blankets, multiple times). Not horrible but not really great; as expected with most college dorms. The walls are thin and the bathroom is communal, two small showers/toilets meant for people but thereβs rarely conflicting timing (with COVID only 4 people are dorming per hall so unsure how it is with 8). Itβs located near a town center (Target is my go-to) and by the cafeteria which is very helpful. It depends on the people in the building to know the level of quietness youβll have, some people will always be more loud than others. You can easily hear conversation in the halls, even in the privacy of your own room if youβre loud enough so be careful and mindful of that (thereβs technically a curfew for noise but itβs not enforced). The rooms are decently sized, minimal outlets unfortunately (thereβs two per side of the room). Thereβs staff that clean the common areas but that does NOT mean youβre not responsible for cleaning up extreme messes. They are pretty nice if you talk to them.

So far, I have had a positive experience at Mesa Court Classics. They take the pandemic seriously and ensured our safety by weekly testing and sanitizing. The dorms are very clean and the staff does their best to keep it that way.
