Middle Earth Towers Dorm Reviews at UC Irvine

At UCI the towers are definitely better than the classics due to the fact that they are nicer facilities where you have a private bathroom attached to your room, the downside being that the room is for four people. If comparing the Mesa Court Towers with the Middle Earth Towers, Middle Earth definitely has more STEM majors and is for sure quieter. It's also right on the campus ring road and super close the the Engineering building, Student center, and Langson library. The ME towers also have a much more spacious common area than MC. The janitors are friendly and clean up frequently, except for the weekends. Overall, I think ME towers are the nicest freshman dorms at UCI.

I loved Middle Earth Towers. It was a really great experience being able to live with other people and get to know them my first year of college. Despite it being the year of Covid-19, I was able to make the most of my experience and create lifelong friends along the way. At times it was really lonely because I had a room to myself, I would contemplate a lot just about life, but the different amenities that the Middle Earth Towers provided really brought joy to the mundane times when I was alone. It really challenged me intellectually as well as made me learn about myself when it comes to my character development.

As a freshman I stayed at here. I loved everything for the most part. My RA was such a amazing person, she as involved and tried to make us feel welcomed. But something that needed to change is how the bathrooms were, they were always very dirty. Aside from that I loved it all.

The towers were conveniently close to the dining halls, specific to Brandywine. There were also offices located within the building itself, however, they need to be more acknowledged in order to have the students informed of their location. Since it was my first year at the towers, I was able to enjoy the cleanliness of the building as the staff are incredibly thoughtful toward the students and do their best to clean when students are attending classes.

I am living in the middle earth towers during covid,so it is a little different than it normally would be. However, the dorms are the nicest and the most spacious out of any dorms I’ve seen. You also only have to share a bathroom with the next room over. The cleaning ladies for the bathrooms come everyday. The towers require key cards to get in so it is very safe. The dining hall is right under the towers so it is easy to get food. Also each hall has their own study room that have a nice view and tv and white board. The whole building is very modern and I recommend.
