University of Central Oklahoma Dorm Reviews

Gross and horrible communal bathrooms. Wish I could live anywhere but here, but my scholarship won't allow it. The layout of the floors is confusing, the halls always smell musty, and two hallways have to share two washers and three dryers. Murdaugh Hall is worse tho. more

MIn my opinion, Murdaugh is a great dorm. It's not too loud and you can just ask them to keep it down and they will. When I first moved in, I thought the bathrooms would be bad but they are surprisingly somewhat private and clean. more

My experience at the University Suites on the UCO campus was great. The building was clean and well maintained by staff. The dorm was in a great location where there was easy access to food, the library, and other facilities. more

While the bathrooms are definitely better than communal bathrooms, the showers are pretty small and get water everywhere flooding the floor and anything placed there. There is almost always something wrong with the toilets (while they are still usable) from spraying water everywhere to (currently) be continually running. The cleanliness of the bathroom can't be helped much as most of it is caused by students, but half the time the cleaners don't actually clean the showers, and it ends up covered in hair. The Quad's quietness really depends on the location of your dorm room as people can get a little roudy at night in the common areas, but it is definitely still better than Murdaugh. The doors and elevators also usually have something wrong with them, and the elevator on the far left of the building has been "out of order" but not actually turned off so people accidentally use it when the signs fall down. It's scary. The safety of the building is pretty good though, there are a lot of stairs and exists in case of emergency, and the entrance doors require a student card for entry. more

I stayed in the Fall semester of 2021. Overall, it was a great place to live. It was right next to the library and the parking lot for the football field, so parking wasn't an issue. The RAs were great and very helpful. The maintainance staff also fixed any problem my roommates or I had in a timely manner. more

I love the environment! Always little events in main lobby, but also has quiet halls! There is vending machines, free laundry, and friendly staff. Everyone is very chilled out and all care about the campus as a whole. more
