This is my freshman year. I am really enjoying my college experience and meeting new kids. I am excited to be away from home. I am exited in starting a Nursing career following the footsteps of my Father.

To be a freshman once again was an all-around anxious experience. On top of paying for college, and having to walk between 10-20 minutes to get to classes, the one factor that made me feel better was on-campus housing. Being able to stay on campus relieved so much stress the fact that I could around campus easier without having to commute up to 30 minutes just to get to each class. During my year, I met so many amazing friends including the Student Housing and Residential Life staff who just made transitioning from high school to college so much easier for me. I am eternally grateful for the memories I have made from staying up late to complete schoolwork with my dorm buddies and residential advisors and even the endless movie nights and conversations that I would have with my friends until 2 am. I say all that to say, I have greatly enjoyed my on-campus housing stay during my freshman year at Cougar Village II.

I was in a small dorm with a roommate and I was up late because of noises from across the hallway & the school buildings are far away from the complex so you'll be walking a lot to get to your classes

For a freshman who was getting their first experience with college life, Cougar Village II was an amazing start to my first year in college. It was in one of the best spots as all of my classes were much closer than the other living options that the school offered, the dining hall was also a short distance away, and being on the 6th floor meant I had a great view over the campus. The other students living there were very amiable, and there wasn't anyone I recall ever being a nuisance. I was lucky with my roommates as we got along really nicely, and we were able to make life in the dorms a lot more fun. The rooms were a decent size, it didn't ever feel crowded, the toilet and shower were separated, which was really useful, and the appliances that were given, like the mini-fridge, were a great help. There was a fitness room, a room for laundry, a computer room with a printer, and tons of room for studying if you don't want to be in your dorm. It had mostly everything you could need, and the front desk was always available, even at the most latest hours of the night. Overall, I think CVII was a fantastic start for me, and I think any upcoming freshman would enjoy living on a college campus at CVII.

I had the best experience living at CV2, I honestly loved my roommates and made many friends. All the RA's were very fun and had lots of fun activities planned for us. CV2 is located perfectly close to parking lot E and moody towers dining hall.

As a freshman entering college during a time that has limited social interaction, living on-campus was detrimental to making the best out of my experience. I felt safe and made a tight support system!

I enjoyed living on campus at CV2. Staying on campus was very good for making friends and establishing a good routine for school. CV2 is in a good location near 2 of the dining halls and was very clean, quiet, and had lots of people that enjoyed going out and doing things.

Overall a really good first-year living space! It's relatively close to Cougar Woods dining hall as well as the Student Center, and bike rides to either of those places are never more than five minutes. It's a lot more secure than I had initially thought: you have to swipe to get in the building, swipe to use the elevator, swipe to get into the suite dorm, and then swipe and input a code to get into your personal (or shared with roommate) bed space. There's plenty of space to personalize your room, and RA's are very communicative and friendly. The only bad experience was during the past winter storm when the power went out, but that wasn't the dorm's fault.

Very friendly and helpful staff! I love the free laundry services and the bathrooms and common areas are always clean. It is also a good location on campus. There have never been any major issues and I would recommend CV2 to a friend.

I never had any issues at CV2 that were ever left unresolved. The nicest part about CV2 is that you could use your cougar card to access your room which meant you never had to worry about carrying around a key. Only downfall was that once our card reader battery died out so we we unable to card in and had to leave the door open in between classes for about a day or two until maintenance was able to come out and swap out our reader batteries.

So far my experience has been pretty great! The rooms are nice and spacious. Itβs a nice building. Itβs always pretty quiet. Thereβs almost never any big incidents or loud noises. We did have a problem on the 7th floor a while back with the fire alarm ringing very often back to back, but that got fixed pretty quick and hasnβt been a problem ever since. Overall i would say CV2 is a great place to live!

Itβs a fun place to be! Met a lot of close friends and was able to network. Slight roommate issues but the staff was great in resolving the issues. Student staff also host a lot of fun community events to help with the socializing.

The experience has been great, I got to meet incredible people even though there is has been a reduction of interactions due to covid-19. Even then, Cougar Village II has been a great place and I got to experience the dorm life even during this pandemic in a safely manner.

Great experience, not too strict, well kept, location in regards to buildings on campus is great. The staff were really great and interactive. Easy to meet people and make friends. Elevators are a little slow at times and there's only one stairwell but I loved it other than that small issue.

Highly recommend it for freshmen as it is designed to bring members of the community together, obviously with covid 19 thereβs a need for social distancing but when everything goes back to normal it would really help. As the common areas and even rooms are designed to fit as many people as possible

When I was at Cougar Village II, I felt like I was at home. The vibes were very welcoming and the building looked very colorful and fun. The dorms themselves were a decent size considering they were dorms.

I've been living in Cougar Village since august; I love it!! My RA is overly kind, very helpful, and understanding. The only complaint, the security is usually pretty uptight and not very understanding. However, the dorm itself is amazing!

Although the rooms were small, having to share a restroom and shower with only 3 other people as opposed to having a communal restroom and shower with an entire floor was so much more convenient. The only real downside is having to share a small room with another person, but my roommates from cougar village have remained some of my best friends 6 years later.

You don't see anybody in the halls, but you hear them at 2am when you are trying to sleep. The rooms themselves are average sized and have good fixtures and wifi. Boring common rooms with smashed TVs. The fire alarm tends to go off every few days at 5 am making the top 3 floors evacuate.
