Cougar Village Dorm Reviews at UH

I would say that Cougar Village is an alright place to dorm. The dorms were decently kept and the overall experience was satisfactory. Though one thing that bothered was the sleeping situation in that the beds were pretty uncomfortable and pretty close to your roommate (which is pretty awkward if you don't know them too well).

Was a very peaceful enclosure. The staff was friendly and the restrooms (public and private) were clean. However, the private bathrooms were a bit small and tight but still fulfilled their purpose. The building is also eco-friendly where there are refill stations for water.

Cougar Village was a great place to live. Being right in front of the stadium was so much fun on game days. Its also located near the new cafeteria on campus. The common areas are clean and always well maintained. The rooms are super spacious.

Great much better than CV2 has no issues great space clean. Nice granite countertops and lots of storage and drawers. The best part for girls giant mirror covers the closet and makes the room look bigger. Overall happy I chose CV1

I don't have any major complaints but I highly recommend finding a suitable roommate or suitemate prior to being matched with random students. Also, make sure sure you can follow all aspects of the suitemate agreement.

The dorm is great overall with nothing to complain about. Even in the instance of the air conditioning ceasing to function, it was repaired expediently in the span of a couple of days. Beyond that, the facilities are easily accessible.

Perfect distance between the student center and the cafeteria, Cougar Village is a nice, quiet dorm for students that want to focus and chill in their rooms without worrying about too much noise. As a current resident, I have very limited complaints about the residents and RAs who are really friendly and nice. While it is a little inconvenient doing laundry and living on the southside, it's not too bad once you get used to it.

My experience at Cougar Village was rather pleasant and I had no complaints about it for the most part. I got a long with my roommate pretty well and generally everyone on my floor was respectful about quiet hours and the RA was very much welcoming and open to help anytime.

It was very neat when I went. The environment was friendly and very warm hearted. Unfortunately, it was easy for non students to enter the building so I did not feel secure all the time. Whenever the elevators were broken, faculty went right away to address it and the AC was always running well. I am glad I spent my first year of an undergraduate student there.

I love the RAs! They’re all really nice, helpful, and friendly. The dorm as a whole is really quiet and rarely loud. The rooms themselves are nice and provides a lot of natural light in the room. The location is nice since it’s in between the student center and my favorite coffee shop.

Amazing! Loved my time in CV1, made my freshman year more memorable. The dinning area is only a 30 second walk from the dorms. The dorms are always clean, and kept with great maintenance. The rooms are really nice and new.

very small dorms, wayyyyy to expensive, a lot of noise, hasn't been renewed in a while. I would much rather stay at home than have to deal with all the inconveniences that come with living in the dorm.

It's great to meet fellow students and get involved with campus activities. The price is similar to the other university dorms. It's temporary living since most students will go with the apartment option after freshman year. I recommend living here and being close to campus.

Great place to live if you are a freshman going to UH. Amazing experience. The food, social life, and being able to go to the gym close by was great. Attending class close by was also a big plus one. Cost of housing was quite expensive, so i only dormed for 1 year then i lived off campus later.
