Joeris Hall Dorm Reviews at UIW

Joeris Hall is the best dorm on campus in my opinion, it is not too far away from campus but far away enough for quiet and peace. I really like how first-year students have their own floor, so that brings students together and creates friendships. As soon as I moved in, I made a lot of friends because of the fact that all first-year students are put together. Residence life puts together a lot of events for all residents to interact and make friends, I was always being invited to events by my RA, and enjoyed attending them. All holiday move-out dates were very organized, I never had any problems regarding moving out or moving in. I enjoyed my semesters at Joeris Hall so much that I renewed my stay for this upcoming school year.

This is my first year residing in Joeris Hall and I love it! Instead of having a roommate this year, I am in a single room and I love the size of the room. I also love how clean Joeris Hall is, especially their laundry room, which allows me to have a comfortable experience. I would love to reside in Joeris Hall for my next few years here at the University of the Incarnate Word.

It's very quiet and I enjoy the space I am given, however, I share a kitchen, a bathroom, and laundry machines with other students. The Resident Assistants are nice. Due to COVID-19, it has been hard to search for funds.

The Joeris Hall community that I lived in while attending UIW enhanced my experience by the constant positive and supportive atmosphere. This hall was my home away from home. The genuine love, happiness, and care that the Resident Assistants and other residents gave to each other had such an impact on my college career. I loved the connections I made and knew that I made friends for life in that hall. The experience created such an impact on me that it sparked my interest in becoming a Resident Assistant for the Joeris Hall. I wanted to pay my experiences forward and create the same atmosphere for other students, that I had received when I was there. My time in the Joeris Hall is something that I will cherish forever because it has helped me become who I am today and has given me my forever friends.

I have a roommate and our rooms are divided by the bathroom. The bathroom is spacious and the toilet is closed off from the sink and shower area. My closet and room are roomy. My window looks out to a wooded area and is very quiet. We have a common area for socializing and cooking. Due to Covid, we havenβt used the area this year. Itβs a really nice and quiet place to stay.
