Osprey Crossings Dorm Reviews at UNF

Very spacious rooms, and private bathrooms. Residence assistants are very friendly and work to make common areas pleasant for everyone. The only quam I faced within osprey crossings was within the performance of maintenance. Often we were not warned of up-and-coming maintenance and had times without heat or water.

I have been in Osprey Crossings for my first semester here at UNF. I really love this dorm, I think it's really nice, it's taken care of and clean. I don't really like that I have to go all the way down to the first floor to open the doors (all the other doors are emergency) but it's amazing other than that. The dorms do get noisy at times, especially when it's a weekend and no one has class the next day.

I live in the Honors LLC, so my experience may be a little different than the other two buildings in crossings, however I love crossings. My dorm includes it's own bathroom and is built for three people to live in so it is quite spacious. The kitchens and common areas of crossings are very nice and my friends and I use them all of the time. The only complaint that people usually have is the walk into campus, but in my opinion it really isn't bad at all. Crossings is a little bit more expensive than the other dorm buildings but I think it is worth it.

Osprey Crossings is a modern residence hall located on the University of North Florida campus in Jacksonville, Florida. Room Type: Dorms typically offer double, and sometimes suite-style rooms with a common area. Amenities: Dorms often come equipped with two xl twin beds, three large wooden drawers, a desk for each room mate. Communal lounges, study spaces, laundry facilities, and kitchens. Osprey Crossings Resident Assistants (RAs): RAs are typically upperclassmen who live in the dorms and serve as resources for residents. They help organize events, address concerns, and ensure a safe and inclusive living environment. Proximity to Campus: Dorms are usually conveniently located close to campus facilities like classrooms, dining halls, and the library. The campus buses make it easy to navigate around campus.

It was a great experience to meet new people during my freshman year especially since I'm more reclusive. I made friends to last a lifetime. The only downside was I was the first room and the key always beeped to let people in the building which for some people could be early in the mornin around 2 and 3 am.

Used theses dorms for my first year and I had a good experience. The university uses a questionnaire to pair you with a roommate. I found a group of awesome people through the roommate search. I would recommend entering an LLC if you want to live in this dorm.

It was difficult adjusting at first because of the new environment and how covid changed everything but besides that, it is going a lot better than I thought it would. The dorms are very quiet during the weekdays but on Fridays, they do get a little loud but that is ok since it is the last day of the week and most of us have finished our school work. The only serious issue for Osprey Crossings is the common area. There is an abundant amount of space in the common area but it has all gone to waste. All the furniture, carpeting, and walls are bland in color and depressing. If you prefer a study area that is pretty neutral in color and not many people go there then the common area would work just fine for you. If you ever get hungry you can stop by the pizza vending machine. The pizzas are pretty good but a little pricey in my opinion. The best part about the Osprey Crossing is definitely the maintenance staff. I had an issue with a leaky faucet so I simply emailed the maintenance staff and a kind gentleman who worked for the University was able to find brand new parts for the sink and fix it within two days.
